Our Story — The Estate at Thai Lotus
A quiet devotion to the craft.

A Neighborhood Kitchen on Route 130
Thai Lotus began as a modest neighborhood kitchen on Route 130 in North Brunswick. The years have refined every detail of the room toward a single purpose: to present the cuisine of Thailand with the reverence it deserves — prepared in a fully Halal kitchen for every guest at our table.
Our Halal Kitchen and Regional Thai Traditions
Our kitchen draws from the royal traditions of Bangkok, the herbal mountain cooking of Chiang Mai, and the seafood discipline of the southern coast. Each dish passes through the hands of a single chef from start to finish — a slower way of cooking, and the only way we know.
Ingredients and Sourcing
Ingredients arrive each morning from small farms across New Jersey and from purveyors who have served us for fifteen years. Coconut milk is pressed in-house. Curry pastes are pounded by hand. Nothing is rushed, because nothing here was ever meant to be.
In the Words of Our Chef
"To cook well is to listen — to the season, to the ingredient, to the guest at the table."
